Replay
The intervention called Replay was created for the Josef Hoffmann Museum in Brtnice. It connects two areas - reuse and unstructured children's play.
Reuse as a material management strategy is part of our research into sustainable design.
On the topic of play, we got together with Klára Koldová, who in her doctoral research deals with the concept of unrestrained children's play in public space. The individual elements do not have clearly defined rules of the game, on the contrary, they leave room for game interpretation and thus support the imagination.
Our ambition was not to leave a clearly visible author's and permanent object, the elements are mobile and storable, they are stored after each game.
The theme of the game arose from a mutual discussion with the female employees of the museum. There are often groups of children aged 7-12 who are looking for new activities.
We also organized an art workshop for the children, where they could freely recreate the graphic designs of Josef Hoffmann. We plan to further transform their drawings into game elements.
Ahoj!
My už vymyslíme, co dál.
Děkujeme všem, kteří s námi za ty roky spolupracovali.

Hello!
After almost 10 years we have decided to finish the project we called Herrmann&Coufal. It's been beautiful and nourishing. Now we feel that for personal self-development we need to follow our own paths. However, it is not impossible that they will intersect again.
We are still open to all interesting collaborations. If you are also interested, just get in touch at info@herrmanncoufal.com. We'll figure out what to do next.
Thanks to everyone who has worked with us over the years.
